I like this definition of the word "hack": A clever solution to an interesting problem.
This is not "dumb", as Crapalation so eloquently put it; this is an artistic description of exactly how "hackers" and other computer-literate people work and learn what they do. I have had so many people ask me about how I became so good with computers, and my answer is frequently "Google". There isn't one place to go to just learn how to be a "hacker" or how to be "good with computers"; it all comes from the desire to learn and to acquire knowledge: something that a great portion of society unfortunately does not understand. People just want things handed to them on a silver platter. They don't want to work for it or to learn anything about it, which is why people buy things simply because "They work," or because "They're simple." I hope that one day society will get past this ignorance and move towards a desire to learn more and to revere those that do so instead of pushing them out towards another caste.
