So true, going to save and read it every morning!
Tip which is really useful . Thanks
Really a good one!
great little tip!
Great tip on procrastination!
let me try, my mind. :-(
But I'm procrastinating by reading this DX
First, it takes a lot of effort, then it becomes a habit. This is definitely worth a try
I almost stumbled immediately, but then I read that first line.
I tried this today and it worked; getting started is the hardest part.
I'll read this tomorrow.
This is bullshit. Procrastination is not always about deciding what is most important and starting, or doing anything in parts. It has a different cause in each person.. someone may fear the outcome, or be afraid of failure (and therefore not start) or feel as though nothing is important, or just get distracted easily. It's not about telling somebody that they need to focus or shut everything out (because some people can't work without them or without switching every once in a while) ... seriously, people. It's not that fucking simple. Are you going to tell the kid with ADHD to just chill out and learn to sit still? Do you tell the kids with ADD to just pay attention? There are things that require REAL help, and I'm sick of this stupid bullshit and fucking ignorant assholes going "OH HERP DERP ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FOCUS AND DO YOUR WORK TO NOT PROCRASTINATE!"
No fucking shit, you dumbass! It's GETTING THERE where people have REAL problems. Not boredom, not distractions. Real mental problems that require medication or therapy and some people don't even know it. All they know is that they can't force themselves to do something. Self-awareness is not the answer to everything.
I'm sick of stumbling upon ignorant shit like this, this is probably the 500 millionth page SU has given me on the same "procrastination is bad here is now to break it!" speech shit.
My last stumble for the day.. Good night.. Back in business
might read this later
I got to the part where he says "Decide to do just the first little part of it 窶" just the first minute, or even 30 seconds of it. Getting started is the only thing in the world that matters."
and by then I had already opened a new tab to start doing my homework. I didn't even finish reading it until I had all of my homework done xD
Very self aware thought of how procrastination happens.
