Excuse me.....are you people all drugged up or what? The man was asserting his rights. What right does a passport agent have to ask anyone WHY they went anywhere? The attitudes here shock me...why would you think this was ok? The main reason governmetn agents get away with the infringement on our rights as routine, is because we particiapte in surrending them. Unless he was creating a problem prior to this encounter, or had openly broken some law.....what excuse does the agent have for asking him for anything other than his passport? The agents job is to verify the passport.....leave the interrogation to the national police......and even then he can still assert his 5th amendment right to remain silent.
