This may be a good free hosting service for testing/developing a new site. But they will delete a free account without warning if the webmaster hasn't logged in for a month. Their paid hosting service--which includes answering support questions--is only $5/month. There are some restrictions to their web services (e.g. no email via PHP) and response may be slow, but you can't beat the price.
Free PHP Hosting
Account inactive for 30 days - deleted without warning. Limited support for Java applications. No MIME type configuration to speak of. The price is right all things considered.
[UPDATE] Scratch that. Doesn't even support sending email via php. Forum administrators would rather pick fights than answer legitimate questions. Don't bother.
With 99.9 % uptime, this is by far the best free web host I've ever used. DNS hosting, PHP, cPanel, MySQL, Flash support. You can install WordPress themes or Joomla...there's so much you can do with 000webhost. FTP transfer, 1500 MB disk space, & 100 GB/month traffic. No hidden fees, No Advertisements, No restrictive terms.
Honestly, there has got to be some kind of catch
Can this really be true ? I have been looking for something like this since ages and now I do not dare to use it. Does anybody know a safer solution ? Does free exist ?
Free web hosting
I've been using their service for school for almost 2 years, after 2 months of inactivity they simply deleted my account, without warning.
Free Webspace and Free Web Hosting Service
Description: $0.00 - Disk Space 1500 MB - PHP - MySQL
They continue to host one of my sites but do not pay the affiliate funds they owe me (which amounts to over $300). Lots of other complaints on the internet that 000webhost.com affiliate program is a scam. Nobody gets paid.
Looks like the page was hacked - now they ask you to download and run a ip_confirm.exe to "activate your account".
Kaspersky flagged it as a backdoor, and i disabled it to be able to run it - after running ip_confirm.exe my cpu gone high for a few mins then the computer restarted out of the blue.
After restarting I re-enabled Kaspersky to get rid of it and kaspersky found 5 different files infected in my computer.
Just a tip - get away from this.
I've had a very good experience with this free hosting provider so far. Their FREE hosting package meets or surpasses 95% of the paid hosting packages I've seen.
The best free php-mysql hosting I've tried. See also http://www.110mb.com/
Great place to test sites . But to actually host one I dont think so . Most of these free sites disappear after not so long. Just go find a cheap web host instead and setup shop there. Save yourself the trouble.
You get what you pay for in this case.
