First world problem
it's meant as a passing lane, not a "go 100mph because I'm a douche bag lane" which is what most people use it for
I'm more annoyed by people thinking this has to do with driving fast rather than keeping a safer flow of traffic on the highways.
Here's a reference on the passing lane or "Fast Lane".
Umm, pretty sure it's the far left lane on all the highways where I live...
I'm more annoyed by people constantly bitching about this. You're not really saving much time by excessively speeding.
amen and amen
What?! You mean I'm NOT supposed to drive in the far left lane super slow and make people pass me from the right side? You mean I shouldn't be in this lane just for the lulz to make people suffeR? Damn, I've been doing it wrong ALL THIS TIME. (Sarcasm, of course)
Seajewl - It says on the bloody image that it's the passing lane!
It's amazing how something SO simple can be SO ignored in today's drivers! Also, yeah, seajewl's right- the in most states (all? I'm not sure) it's unlawful to drive in a passing lane for an extended period of time.
DRIVE RIGHT, PASS LEFT~!
And if you're driving in the "passing lane" at the legal speed limit, then by default, no one should be allowed to pass you and you are doing nothing wrong.
I wish people would keep more in mind than their right to drive at break-neck speeds. Accidents aren't caused by people who drive slowly.
What about staying in the passing lane BECAUSE 1) Cars are tailgating; 2) Cars are passing on the right; 3) Cars are honking; and 4) Cars are flashing their high beams? That seems pretty ok.
I wish I could give this two thumbs up...I especially hate it when the left lane is a 'carpool' lane, and some jackass is in there just because there is two of them in the car, but all the other lanes are moving faster
Uh, it's not the "fast lane". It's the passing lane... and driving in it for an extended amount of time at any speed is against the law.
