Makes me want to start stretching
Last weekend I attended a workshop of Yin-Yoga at 'Yogashala' in The Hague (Den Haag).
Yin-Yoga is developed to have a good stretch of the ligaments and so to make the joints more flexible. Yin-Yoga is especially helpful besides the normal practice that involves strength of the muscles and thus makes muscles shorter (a Yang Practice), like for example Ashtanga and Power Yoga. What is different in Yin-Yoga is that the postures (asanas) are being held on for several minutes (five or even more). It was very helpful for me. The days after I experienced great progress in my yoga workout. Never thought I would learn how to relax in the 'saddle pose' (above) at the age of forty one.
