so the lesson is dont live in cali?
Where the hell is Salt Lake City on this list? They frequently have the worst air quality in the country, and because of the mountains the pollution gets trapped and they get inversion where the sky becomes grey or brown and the sun can't be seen distinctly. If you go up in mountains, you often can't see the city because of the layer of smog sitting over it.
This list and slide show are so bogus. Try and tell me a farming community if more polluted then NYC and the limited Petroleum industry of Bakersfield makes it worse then Midland/Odessa or Big Springs Tx with at least 5 times the refineries and 20 times the wells. There are some nice blue skies in there like Visalia, while Houston, El Paso, and San Diego don't make the list. Oh that's right their smog comes from Mexico mostly...
More of the one sided paid for science to push eco lib global warming. Science just isn't science when the grant tells the scientist the expected outcome. You don't have to be a scientist to figure out that a grant to prove the existence of global warming is going to get a scientist protecting next years money hiding evidence that doesn't provide the desired result. This proves it sir but we need to study it more to be sure, more money please. Job security.
Wow CA occupies 6 of the Top 10 worst polluted towns in the US between Los Angeles and Fresno(Central Valley).
The downfall of living in Pittsburgh... most of the time I can not breathe!!
very interesting! i would not have expected so many areas of california to be on this list. i was also very surprised to find out that my hometown, pittsburgh, is 2nd on the list!
Even overlooking the obnoxious "page per item" layout, the writing style is incredibly annoying.
Too many in California...
