I wasn't going to comment, but gr8audioguy's comment was so illiterate i had to say something. I could go through all the problems I had but I'll suffice to say I found 11 distinct things that I took issue with. Well trolled sir
Destroy Western oligarchy!
damn you capitalism!
Thing is this: We don't live in a democracy. If we did, Michael Jackson would have been dead for 10 years because the MAJORITY thought he was a chronic child molester(he was innocent) and Clinton would not have ascended to the Presidency with 44% of the vote. We live in a Representative Republic. But I digress...
This cutesy little pyramid does not take into account that in our real world, most of those at the upper levels have demonstrated innovation, intellect and ability to produce for the masses(us at the middle and lower levels). I don't see Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Gordon Moore, Sergey and Larry etc... represented at the top of that picture. Winston Churchill nailed it and it's the politicians and lawyers that are screwing everything up.
I told my teenage daughter recently when discussing the merits of capitalism - when she was born, a 32" LCD TV was $10,000 and way out of my reach. She is now sitting on a brand new one for her college dorm this fall that I bought for < $500. That's what makes capitalism vital to the progression of our civilization.
Now, with that out of the way, please go to my stumble page and give me a thumbs up, because THAT is whats important in life!
If it didn't have capitalism written on top I would have thought it to be a representation of socialism or communism or a monarchy of some sort. Society is naturally divided usually along the lines of wealth. The difference with capitalism is that you are not forever doomed to be on the bottom and there is a broader range of wealth(There are levels between poor and rich). There is also a potential to rise to the top with hard work or ingenuity. With socialism and communism you are owned by the government and stay in the social status they dictate.
well, i like it. i think its something most people dont want to be reminded of. dont rise up.
"we rule you
we fool you..."
lol i get it because ALL the people at the bottom are such HARD WORKERS!
At least capitalism lets you climb up a rung or two. In most other systems, they'll shoot you for trying.
Oops, after Madoff destroyed everyone's fantasy-We -once again get to maintain his presence in the finest of ?-Think the man wasn't a remarkably self-absorbed-Nanna-Nanna Na-Never got caught till I was about to die. They ought to turn him lose to work for those he squandered!-Prison is too good for Him.
the only reason capitalism doesn't produce kings and violent rulers is because there is no position of enough power to enable these "rulers". The same is true for a socialist society as well, socialism=democratic which means the people choose their leader, and can change their minds as well. This is as close to reductio ad hitlerum as you can get without mentioning nazi. In a true socialist society no class prevails. You can look at history all you want but there have been no dictators or violent rulers from true socialist societies.
Holy cow! All those millions of immigrants, flocking to the U.S. over two hundred years! WHAT LITTLE THEY KNEW! That capitalism was such a bad deal... How dare they open their own shops and businesses under a capitalist model. -_-
another pathetic truth representationXD
that is socialism and communism actually. Capitalism was just called freedom in the past.
