From dave: "This is the modern day version, ours was a board with a map of northern Europe, several dice and a gazillion little 1/2 carboard squares with unit designations (a faithful reproduction of the disposition of forces in the AO at the time of Overloard) and strength indicators. You moved units around on the board which was overlayed with hexagons for "unit" placement. Battles were a result of engaging specific units and then some calcuation involving the roll of each players dice and the strenght indicators. At 13, in 1963, it was awesome."
If we could unplug from the overmind long enough, my kids and I may event enjoy this and learn some history in the process...
