Mr. Robert Brockway, the author of this fine piece comments on our unbelievable insanity; our survival of the stupidest. What I really appreciate about his pieces are the way he paces his articles. We start out with the fairly staid "Canne de Combat" and work our way up to "Lion Drome." I love the look on the face of the lion in the Lion Drome segment. He looks like a 9-to-5'er for some odd reason. Hilarious. Mr. Brockway's prose is marvelous and he makes a wonderful case for returning to the body-strewn mayhem and blood-filled times of the 1930's and earlier. Sign me up. I can do the "Canne de Combat." Being legally blind, having Parkinson's, a cane, low impulse control and bipolar makes me a natural. Bon Soir!
