An excellent list of appreciation award ideas to help embed employee recognition into your everyday work.
I agree, that it would probably better to appreciate the work of people once they achieve it instead of making it a one time award. Of course if you give away an award every month, people have a goal and a certain time to reach it. But sometimes I guess all you need is just a small and simple thank you or well done to feel good and productive.
I think the problem is, that work is most of the time more formal and so it is easier and not that complicated to give away awards on certain times for something instead of appreciating somebodies work, because you really like it or it really helped you personally.
But these are a lot of good points, just to let people know that it is good tell somebody, that he did a great job and that you recognized and mentioned it in front of the person.
Great tips. We get it, management -- you're busy. But it's nice to feel appreciated now and then.
If management did recognize the smaller achievements of their employees, instead of one-time award ceremonies, than they would probably see an increase in productivity throughout the year.
