The article on Harlow's experimentation with infant Rhesus monkeys needs more context. Harlow did not only isolate the monkeys but also replaced their real mothers with artificial ones - one made of wire and the other of cloth.

Fascinating and horrifying, many of these are experiments I have previously studied in psychology classes but in spite of the previous exposure many of them still pack the same tragic punch.
