This site has a special section on currencies, and features articles by the likes of Brian Dolan from Gain Capital. There are other writers of note on here as well...
Martin Andelman, aka Mandelman quotes this site often as an expert. Anyone recommended by Mandelman deserves attention
Rich financial analysis site. Great for clear, objective investment news and information.
am a contributor here & it is an interesting place to expound your views to a wider audience.
Regards the critical comments, some are loons, but if we didn't have contrarian views, there would be no market.
I am honored to be a part of the website as contributing writer and enjoy nothing more than the critical comments (I'd like to see these little pricks pound out 5 articles a day AND keep a day job - haters!).
Beyond that, great stock tips, analysis, and commentary.
great web site. I only wish I had found this sooner.
One of my favorite websites. It is very entertaining and holds a wealth of information. It has a diverse amount of articles on every subject or industry imaginable. There are a lot of people that criticize the site including people who continue to write critical comments underneath the articles. It's funny because you see people who have commented on the site many times and it's odd because they don't like the site but it seems they can't stop reading and using the site. It does have articles and other things that are questionable and more rumor than fact. But what investment website is without rumor or speculation? Even most of the credible rating agencies are acting on speculation anyways and they are wrong a lot of the time. Just like any news site or investment site especially located on the Internet, caution is a must. You should always be skeptical with anything on the Web these days. You should decide for YOURSELF what to invest in and you must double check things that you read. Seeking Alpha has a large following and is partnered with many large organizations. Started in '04 by David Jackson, they employ 50 people in 2 continents and has formed partnerships with Yahoo! Finance, Dow Jones MarketWatch, E-Trade, and CNET(Owned By CBS Corp). The company is backed by Benchmark Capital, a firm that funded the big auction site EBAY. It looks like they are doing something right. Among the Pro's and Con's of Seeking Alpha I will first list the Pro's followed by the con's. They have the largest and only free access to thousands of Company Conference Call Transcripts. Great if you want to save time reading them instead of listening to the audio version. The site contains Recaps of the CNBC shows Mad Money and Fast Money. The site also features individual company pages with stock charts and articles on most companies large and small. Among the negatives there are a few. The individual company pages with the charts and the stock info could be designed better. The charts are pretty basic and does not contain any interactive charts or ways to change to other chart patterns such as the Candlestick Chart. Another thing is there are usually small inaccuracies within the Conference Call Transcripts but this is usually a minor issue and is expected because sometimes words are hard to understand when listening to the audio recording. Seeking Alpha is by far one of the best Financial Websites on the net today. It's Pro's by far outweigh the Con's and as long as you are skeptical with anything you read and you make sure to decide for yourself and not to rely on just this site alone you will enjoy the site and you will learn a wealth of information that you can't find anywhere else on the Web. This site is Definitely.........A Thumbs Up!!!
P.S--One more thing. Seeking Alpha was awarded Kiplinger's 2007 Award for the Most Informative Internet Site and was ranked by Fox News as the top financial blog during a 2007 telecast.--
Seeking Alpha. Financial and economic blog of blog, with some of its own news collecting capability. Provides a forum for writing, and opinion publishing, by economists, financial planners, investment pros and others. Leads for follow up to individual blogs on topics worth exploring.
Mixed collection of stock market opinions and analysis.
Stock Market news... mainly speculation
An interesting investing blog, but more interesting for ideas (not investing directly)
