There are relatively simple answers for nearly all of these.
You know what, I'll give you all my best take on all of these right now.
1: Squares are easier to stack. Round is the most natural way to form a mound of dough. Triangles are the only way to cut a circular pizza so all pieces are the same size and shape.
2: First of all, part of that is illusory. You get bigger, the desks stay the same size. Elementary school kids have the little compartment so they don't have to remember and carry around a lot of materials. Middle school and high school are actually the same, I think. More people need to fit into a college classroom at a time, ideally.
3: Shoddy manufacturing. It works occasionally. Try doing it differently.
4: Hypothetically, it lets you write faster, but this is rarely the case when you have to learn it as a second language, essentially.
5: I speculate that pressing harder increases the contact that the button has with the plate below, reducing resistance enough to transmit the signal. (totally guessing)
6: Both of these are messy processes. It helps to know what you look like after having fluids erupt from at least one of your orifices. Doing these things change your appearance, and it's nice to know how, immediately.
7: A cursory examination leads me to believe that this is so your ABCDF grade isn't mixed up with your ESUN grade. Otherwise they would share "E." (mostly a guess)
8: The internet tells me that Pants were originally two separate strips tied around the legs and then connected at the waist. Even when this changed, the name stuck (as in, one leg was a "pant"). (Also mostly guessing, not sure.)
9: Stretching effectively squishes around your internal bits a fair amount. This includes your Diaphragm. You have to breath when you stretch, and since you're not actively paying attention to your voice, it's likely that the combination of strong breathing and intentional contraction/relaxation causes unintentional vocalization.
10: Easy way to tell them apart from "regular size," without making them seem less appealing from a marketing perspective.
11: It was originally rounded on the bottom, and eventually morphed to its current shape as a "doublevee."
12: Probably because the "alphabet song" did that for pacing reasons. As well, the sounds flow really easily into each other.1
13: It's to comfort you. They usually have a decent sense of your mangled response anyways.
14:Probably because you press it harder. Or because you're more likely to press it off-center. Or maybe because it has less resistance to pressing.
15: Because it's funny? I'm not sure what the problem is with this one.
16:They say "heads up" as in "pay attention." People who use it to mean "duck" are almost definitely doing it wrong.
17: They're called coincidences. MOVING ON
18: Because it's hard to draw complex shapes without handy guidelines, which the "lines in the middle" clearly provide.
19: This was more of a joke than an actual question. Old people buying for the very young, or out-of-touch people buying for the slightly less young.
20: Drawing a different outfit reduces the viewer's ability to quickly identify characters by appearance. It's visual clutter and makes drawing the characters more difficult. You could also ask why they only have 4 fingers, or circles for eyes. Easier to draw, visually helpful.
21: Because they resemble fingers, and you eat them with your fingers. That was easy.
22:Some people like to get drunk however they can. Many of these people are also stupid. Therefore, the article.
23: I've got nothing. I am positively boggled by this turn of events.
24: Probably because some people asked for it. Additionally, being able to get someone's attention without committing any distinct information is useful, even if incredibly annoying. While poking by itself doesn't mean anything, a lot can be picked up from context. That, and it puts your name on their screen, which is sometimes all that you were looking for.
So in summary, whoever wrote this article probably didn't do any research at all.
