I am the 99%
Since when is it eye-opening news that the top 1% owns the majority of the wealth, especially in a capitalist society? Instead of making pointless graphs, maybe the article should talk about the unfair advantages granted to the 1% and how it's becoming increasing difficult for talented, educated people to be able to get there. At least US has a decent middle class and mostly equal opportunities for people willing to work hard and make smart decisions.
If the numbers are correct, then distribution of wealth really has become even more top-heavy over the past 30 years. I find it surprising how effective the media has been at manipulating so many people into believing this is a good thing. Greed isn't good, it's a weakness and causes people to behave foolishly.
ah, good old communism cuz that always goes well right?
Stunningly effective in its simplicity. At least people are now waking up like Shelley's lions from their slumber...
Over simplistic and completely unnecessary
Sucks to be a Socialist! Trying to steal other people's money. Being full of greed and envy. Knowing sweet fuck all about what Socialism would do to this country. Morons!
wealth is not finite and people in a free society are free to acquire as much or as little wealth as they like (it does not mean they will get it though, government just secures the right of the individual to pursue what they want). wealth does not guarantee happiness.
