I simply upvoted to reach more poetry in my stumbles. I do not necessarily agree to Emerson's suggestion, though.
If you can forget what happened during the day, or what happened yesterday, then in all probability you've had a good enough life, and you don't need this poem. If you can't, however, I will not despise and reject you. Life isn't some simple thing, wherein the rules lie within three stanzas of a single poem. It's complex. We hate, we are miserable, we are flawed! We can't sleep many nights, and sometimes, many nights in a row. However we are not wrong by doing this. Not at all. It's okay. We're imperfect, because we're human; we're human because we're imperfect. Emerson probably wouldn't understand.
