INN is not an impartial news source. It's an extreme right-wing news agency that is known for it's anti-Islamic propaganda.
I'm no fan of Iran's current regime and they have certainly been guilty of human rights abuses but none of the allegations in the article have been substantiated or corroborated by any outside news agency. AP hasn't picked it up and Amnesty International would certainly have made some noise if they saw evidence that it was true.
I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that abuse by guards in prisons has occurred but there is no evidence that it's condoned or mandated by the government.
Posting reactionary disinformation like this is irresponsible. There's enough shit for people to get pissed off about over there without giving voice to inflammatory sensationalism. If anything, it drowns out the legitimate complaints of those who really are being mistreated in Iran.
