Oh i figured it out when i kept using same number and notice the symbol changed, giving you the illusion that it is predicting your move when in fact it is always the same thing. Bugged me for a bit lol.

Not as simple as they say. . . It actually worked every time that I followed the instructions with a variety of different two digit numbers resulting in different symbol choices.
