Linux may not have the best software, and Amarok may have gone from being the best music player on any operating system (version 1.4) to being a completely worthless piece of garbage (version 2.0), but Linux's greatest advantage is its customizability. That is, if you know how things work, you can fine-tune anything you want to your liking.

This is why Linux will not be displacing Windows any time soon. The average person wouldn't know what to do if there were actual competition in operating systems.

"Buy the end of 2008 you will be unable to find hard ware that linux doesn't have a driver for." Haha. That's even more hilarious!
The truth is, most computer users think that Windows = The Computer. From personal experience I can tell you that I have told people about Linux and got a similar response to this. I showed somebody Ubuntu once, and they assumed it was a program installed into Windows (and I don't mean with Wubi).
However, I agree with BigLeon below; I'm sure by now everyone is aware of *at least* Windows and Mac
Good laugh :-P
This is quite amusing. But it also reminds me of those that kept insisting that post-95 Windows ran on top of DOS.
what a troll !
oh this is hilarious
HAHA this is sooo funnny ;D
From the page: "Are you saying that this linux can run on a computer without windows underneath it, at all ? As in, without a boot disk, without any drivers, and without any services ?
That sounds preposterous to me. "
:)))) Go on to the page to read the rest..
That's what happening when the mouth runs faster than the brain.
No, it's not possible. If Linux didn't have help from IBM, Oracle, HP, Redhat, soon to be Dell, and many other commercial companies, it would be nowhere near where it stands today.
You can tell he's an ignorant windows user
From the page: "Its just not possible that a freeware like the Linux could be extended to the point where it runs the entire computer fron start to finish, without using some of the more critical parts of windows. Not possible. "
Hahaha, what a freakin dumbass! Sounds like he needs an operating systems class, and perhaps a few more computer science courses... He has NO idea what he is talking about!
Haha, wow, so Apple went to Intel and Microsoft did they? By that logic the Xbox 360 is an Apple product XD
