THE BEST SITE ON THE INTERNET TO FIND INFORMATION ON SENIOR HEALTH, INSURANCE, FINANCE, HOUSING AND LEGISLATION. ON THE SCALE OF 1 TO 3
Forget AARP. It has an agenda which in no way benefits seniors. I recommend American Seniors Association instead. It is much more oriented to the needs of seniors with even better benefits.
Anyone over 50 aught to check this site out.
It has its plus sides but I'm WAY to young to join.
This is probably the biggest opponent to allowing younger Americans to divert their Social Security contributions into private accounts to ensure that they have not only a retirement waiting for them but, perhaps, a more profitable one than Social Security could ever offer. So what's AARP's problem? It represents people now collecting Social Security and it wants to protect those taxpayer-sponsored handouts at the expense of those of us who want to take control of our own futures rather than rely on the government to take care of us. Tough luck for us, I guess, if the AARP gets its way through its manipulative pro-Social Security propaganda machine. And I always thought the generations that came before us were supposed to impart wisdom and knowledge to us younger generations...guess not.
