Half the questions were absolutely retarded involving food combinations or other totally pointless trivial information, a few of them were so outright weird it generally took me most of the time just trying to piece together in my head what the hell they want me to do and why they required SO much reading when the whole thing is timed

Poorly designed. For example if these so called "notes" consist of several notes they are called chords and none of the answers is right. Or how can you answer wrong when it is asked which food combination tastes better? Also the time runs while you read the instructions, so if you are a slow reader, you fail at some tasks even if you would have solved them easily.

Good quiz but I have issues with the grading process. In some instances I am very close to the answer and it says I did well. In other instances I was just as close to the answer(obviously this is IMO) and it says I failed.

Not sure what this tests, but it's not at all scientific. The nature of the questions were, in some cases pure guesswork. Not a very clever test, unfortunately.
