BMI is perhaps only good for one thing, as a guideline for diagnosing anorexia (and only a guideline).
My goal once was to reach obesity on the BMI scale, and when I did it I was calipered at 6 or 7 % BF.
If you want an idea of where you should be, get calipered, dunk tank tested, or even a wrist-waist scale or the equivalent.
Not correct, it's impossible to check body fat this way unless we were all clones. says I'm overweight yet I'm thin, in shape and excercise frequently. It can't tell the difference between weight from muscle and weight from fat. Don't beleieve a script, talk to someone who can do a physical test.
I don't like the number I got, but I think knowing that number is good and perhaps will be incentive to drop some weight.
