Athiests vs Closed minded people
I like the scientific perspective starts with "most likely". I'd just like to point out that science doesn't know the answer to how the universe started, but what's really interesting is that every religion's creation story starts with the empty (0) void, which was then separated (i.e. the creation of 1 and -1, yin and yang, duality). It seems to me as a physics major that the most widely accepted theories in science seem to support a very similar creation story to most religions, if one thinks of it all metaphorically. For example, if the names of the gods were to be interchanged with "quarks" "electrons" or "neutrinos", these stories would suddenly sound very much like inflationary theory.
thanks for this, I always wondered and forgot to check out some of these stuff ! :P
Poorly cited material. Why use the Taijitu in this example, if not talking about Daoism? Chinese myth =/= Daoism.
Islam is an abrahamic religion like Christianity, and judaism. Their creation myths are likely similar.
For the science it's the same: It says so in the book
i like science :)
The Norse method sounded cooler, but the scientific method sounded more plausible. To each their own.
"The big bang could have easily been a God setting precious science in motion." And what set god in motion?
One of these may or may not be true (including science). You have to remember not to be so close minded as to make science your religion or you're as ignorant as those you're poking fun at. Agnosticism is the only thing we have as free-thinkers when it comes right down to it. The big bang could have easily been a God setting precious science in motion.
mythology doesn't claim truth, religious blockheads do
atheist entitlement is getting kind of boring
a left brain logical man with no deep understanding of the true nature of the universe.
