I tried this diet and lost about 7 lbs. I still do this diet every other week and have lost a lot of inches and 12 lbs total. But as they say its not in the pounds really. When I searched in google about the GM diet this was the web page i found and its here in stumble upon. It works, it worked for me :)

There are some major red flags here, and I would stress that 10-17 lbs of weight loss per week is both dangerous and more than likely impossible. "Flushing" and "cleansing" your system are quack terms and completely and medically meaningless; especially in terms of weight loss. True and sustained weight management only comes when you apply a "just under" rule for calorie intake and moderate exercise. Rinse and repeat (it took years to put the pounds on, why would anyone think it's going to take less time to take it off? Why not practice life-long healthy eating, instead of abrupt and unnecessarily restrictive dieting?)

I don't see how it could *hurt* to do this (with the exception of all the meat at the end of the week) but 10-17 pounds in 7 days is unhealthy no matter how you do it, and seems very unlikely given the diet here. Losing that much weight in a week would be mostly water weight and not sustainable weight loss in the long run.

I don't know who to believe, but I'm more tempted to believe the metabolism nazi down below me in the comments page than anyone else, just because she/he sounds so pissed. :)
Metabolism is a pain in the ass. There's so many different routes that your body will take to make sure that this shit doesn't work in the long run it's not funny. Seriously. Look up the biochemical diagram of metabolism. Hell, get the annotated one that tells you all the compounds necessary for cellular respiration and synthesis. Diets like this don't work because you're not doing this sustainably.
