echec et mat
echec et mat
I think Turing played and won tho...
This is awesome. It draws lines of what its thinking. It sort of gives your an advantage because you can see its plans.
I love it.Something like this may be the tool for realistic simulations of thought
pretty cool...but i don't know chess
From the page: A map is created from the traces of literally thousands of possible futures as the program tries to decide its best move.
cool as a concept, fails as a game
wont even let you make certain moves
....so its just chess except with pretty colored lines outlining possible moves and the AI takes forever.....amazing....
from the page: "Thinking Machine 4 explores the invisible, elusive nature of thought. Play chess against a transparent intelligence, its evolving thought process visible on the board before you. "
The computer kept hounding away at every little (or big) mistake I made. I don't know how other chess programs generally work, but I've tried to stay away from them, since a computer can potentially "memorize" board scenarios and I usually strategize each scenario independently. Anyway, I'm not high tier...and I'm rusty...and I lost.
Smart enough it even knows how to cheat!!!!
Always have wondered when playing chess what the computer opponent is thinking in a geek, i really should get out more and meet women kind of way, and now I know.
Another way to young up & build new neural pathways:-)
little long, but good
Takes long for every move, imagine deep blue processing
The nature of thought? The spirit of a thinking machine? Pretentious twaddle, this is simply a visualisation of what looks like a Mini-Max decision tree with Alpha-Beta pruning.
And no, I don't rate it as "art" either.
this is amazing.
