Considering it represents RGB colorspace it's pretty obvious CMYK isn't how this was printed. Why even mention that?

Pretty neat, but...
Tell me how it was printed since RGB colorspace deals with additive color (light) like a monitor or sunlight. Basically, the more colors of light mixed, the closer the color becomes to white. Printed color (subtractive color) is created by mixing cyan, magenta, yellow and black and has a much smaller gamut of available color (in the millions). So... the book is neat and all but it isnt really a good approximation of RGB colorspace. Now, I've heard of theoretical RGB+black printing equipment but have never seen it applied. The article doesn't say so I assume its just digitally produced so its kind of a let down.

I don't know why but I think that looks so cheap and shitty, probably because it reminds me of Paint on windows
