Unfortunately, drug companies are not interested in anything that they can't patent, which makes me question their ethics. The love of money is the root of all evil, especially when it takes precedence over human life. Why is cannabis illegal? Oh, it MIGHT make a tiny minority of the population mad. The government don't want to send out "the wrong message". It's OK to drink alcohol and smoke fags, which are well-known to cause harm to society in many ways, but it's wrong to use cannabis which has a whole host of known medicinal benefits and is impossible to overdose on. What message is that sending to me? That governments can't be trusted to have sensible opinions as far as drugs are concerned. I really do not believe that the government have a right to tell me what I should be allowed to do with my own body. It's an infringement of personal liberty.
