Planet Earth under plague conditions. An apparently unstoppable outbreak of humans proliferating all over the planet and destroying other life forms. Can they be contained or will the disease spread to the solar system and beyond?
From Red Dwarf, on the meaning of life:
Lister: Why does it have to be such a big deal? Why can't it be like, like, human beings are a planetary disease? Like the Earth's got German measles or facial herpes, right? And that's why all of the other planets give us such a wide berth. It's like, "Oh, don't go near Earth! It's got human beings on it, they're contagious!"
Rimmer: So you're saying, Lister, you're an intergalactic, pus-filled cold sore! At last, Lister, we agree on something.
I am sad to be part of such vicious breed!
A case of humans, like a virus a cancer
What can I say, we have nobody to blame but ourselves!
Let's be real here people - global warming doesn't threaten the future existence or health of the earth, which will renew itself long after we are gone (at least until it reaches the end of its life cycle, which will have nothing to do with human activity... at least not human activity that we are capable of at present)... it threatens the human species with extinction, as well as the extinction of other planetary life (which less people are concerned about, I am sure, but is a real concern), and that is why we are all panicking. The earth is not threatened with sickness, death, or extinction... we are. Bring the focus back to where it belongs. This sick earth mantra is getting old.
mmm. design with a message.
very distasteful video. Typical propaganda coming from the environmentalist groups.
It's not humans that are the problem. It's our culture. Think about it, the Native Americans didn't kill the animals they didn't like and use up all the natural resources.
I really don't know what to think of the video...but the commentary is mind-blowing.
mmmm... horribly relevant. we're not all like that though, are we?
Humans, an infestation Nitty Nora would gladly get her hands on.
Seen on Daverd's pages.
Funny, but realize that we can't really do anything to the Earth. We may destroy ourselves or live on, but life will persist here regardless until it is swallowed up by the sun. I suggest working on this before the Earth's immune system comes in to eliminate the disease though...
"A case of the humans"; if you watch this I think you will realise just how true it is.
Everybody needs to wake up and realise that nothing lasts forever and it is up to us to safeguard this planet for generations to come. (Ahem.. lecture over :) just think about your actions and what things you could be doing to make a difference, if you're not already)
Cute animation, but it has a downbeat to it that's too true, we're destroying the hell out of the planet we live on.
I love this. I saw it on aniboom a while ago. Great video and impressively animated. Unfortunately it makes me think of the quote "Life is a sexually transmitted disease," though.
Great animation and quite funny - but too downbeat for me! But the point stands: we're gobbling our planet!
