watch the poles in the middle, they will look green if the background is magenta and they will look magenta if the background is green. for an artist it shows you how to make a color look more extreme. if you want something to look more green, don't put it in a field of green, put it against its complement. sounds obvious, but have you realized how extremely our eyes adjust and how color is never actually what it seems?
