I'd *love* to be around for the singularity! :) we may get to continue living as uploaded digital entities. it's a world of crazy possibilities, it doesn't have to be a bad thing.
Quantifying brain power requires a lot of assumptions
So the very top of the curve stops dead at "improvement events" taking NO time...and everything that can happen has happened...and progress stops....think about it. Or, on the other hand, will "things" just keep happening so increasingly fast as to be unmeasurable and not really "stop" at all?? It seem as though this just may answer the age-old question: "Where will it all end?"It seems likely, given the geometric progression phenomenon, that "it" may end all too soon with the "Singularity" becoming an unfathomable and surreal reality. The Biblical "End of days" also comes to mind, and I'd rather not be around for that.
