A past commenter mentioned that by using Occam's razor someone could come to the conclusion that God created the universe because it's a much simpler explanation than the actual truth. But the wording in this simplified wiki article can be misleading."Occam's Razor is a principle that generally recommends selecting the competing hypothesis that makes the fewest new assumptions, when the hypotheses are equal in other respects." So if one person explains evolution and another says that "God created all life" then surely the latter is the more simple explanation but upon close examination it has no explanatory value. God is an infinitely large, unnecessary assumption so to say that a deity that has always existed created all life is not in any way equal to the theory of evolution which is well-researched and extensively documented.
