Kind of hard on Edison. He may have been a jerk towards Tesla, but he was a genius inventor as well.

Well, to be honest, everyone knows about Tesla these days.

From the page: "Tesla had a dream of providing free energy to the world."
An interesting page on an early century scientist

One of the greatest tragedies in history - that ALL of Tesla's ideas were not simply implemented. See especially free electricity (oops, did I mention there is no pollution from his system?)

Lots of grandiose claims, no sources, a couple loonies, and a whole lot of back patting...typical internet forum thread.

interesting read about someone i've never heard of before today... even though some of the writing seems to be a little bit sensationalized.

Lots of correct information here, and lots of false information as well. Read with a grain of salt. Tesla did not, for instance, manage to set off an earthquake with one of his machines.

i learned in a college class that edison would call up some reporters, and put small, cute animals in tesla's dynamos. the reporters would walk away with the idea "tesla's AC current kills puppies".

Arrgh! It hurts my brain that his most important invention, the one that drives the world today is not to be found: The induction motor!
