Damn. I was hoping it would tell me that I'm a sexual deviant with a fetish for blond milkmaids who wear plaid shirts and play the ukulele. How else am I going to find out this information?

Wow, what a load of crap. If you actually believe this then I feel bad for you and worse for your children. Please don't reproduce if you haven't already.

There is a massive difference between statistically significant trends between groups, and diagnostically sound differences between individuals. In other words, average finger lengths may differ between groups in small but meaningful ways, but it such a slight difference that it is useless to try and predict how a single individual will fare based on just this information.

Sounds like bullshit to me.

Not sure how much belief one can put into this, but fun to read nevertheless. I have to find more information about this, seems fascinating.

The fuck?
From the page: "In a paper just published in the journal Medical Hypotheses (vol. 54, p 855), Manning highlights conditions such as heart disease, breast cancer, autism and dyslexia. Both heart disease (in men) and breast cancer have been linked with high levels of the female hormones Eestrogen and Progesterone. Most of the studies of this link have looked at circulating levels in the adult, but evidence is mounting that too much of the wrong hormone in the womb, before birth, may be the real culprit."
This is the same non-peer reviewed journal that also published an article on ejaculation as a treatment for nasal congestion..... In Orac's words "Medical Hypotheses, the journal where the editors encourage the authors to make shit up"
Other than that, I find the rest dubious at best.

The heterosexual/homosexual thing is so fake I'm not bothering to read it all.
Accept it, it's been confirmed long ago that gay men/women have the same hormone level as heterosexuals.

The "research" on this has been debunked in every particular. This is a load of malarkey. I know a premiere researcher in autism and she cringes every time someone asks her about this. Quit fostering the falsehoods!

Obviously interesting! I've just started reviewing the lit on autism - and find the tie of higher levels of testosterone in the womb to autism fascinating. Will look further.

Not true in my case, checked out original study. Definitely won't tell you who is gay and who is not. Lesbians on average are only 1% more likely to have the longer ring finger.

Anyone else read this and immediately think of palm reading? I mean, the belief that you can know disease risk, sexual orientation, intelligence, social behavior, etc from the relative length of fingers is pretty idiotic...And to think, some even did an entire "scientific study" of almost 50 kids for a correlative hypothesis, nevermind that some of these tests were close to 30 years ago...
