2010 is off to a fast start for StumbleUpon, with several exciting new features and partnerships on the way. We are also growing as a company, having recently added a number of talented individuals to our team.
The most recent addition to the SU crew is Marc Leibowitz, who joins us from Google, where he was responsible for many of their major revenue and distribution relationships over the past seven years. Most recently, he managed their worldwide team responsible for developing partnerships around Google’s mobile services and desktop client applications. (You can read more about Marc’s bio here.)
Marc, getting used to his new StumbleUpon desk.
So why did Marc choose StumbleUpon? As he put it (in what we’re quickly learning is his flair for colorful metaphor), after a long captivity within the desolate walls of his Most Visited Sites, Marc was liberated into the expansive wondrousness of the Internet by his friends at StumbleUpon. Determined to share his newfound freedom with fellow cybernauts, Marc signed on with the band of web emancipators at StumbleUpon to help bring Stumble goodness to the world.
Marc’s interests grow with every Stumble session, from “Satire” to “Baseball” to “For Kids”. We’re proud to count Marc among those rescued from Internet bleakness by StumbleUpon and excited to have his expertise and experience to help take StumbleUpon to new heights.
