From Life of Pi and Les Misérables to Lincoln and Argo, 2012 was an epic year to be a moviegoer, and we can’t wait to see who will be taking home gold at the Oscars in February. To help you get ready for Hollywood’s biggest night, we’re partnering with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to launch Stumble the Oscars. This amazing sweepstakes has awesome prizes, including a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win two tickets to the Oscars Red Carpet!
We all love watching movies, almost as much as we love Stumbling upon movie trivia, photos and fun facts. So every day from January 17th through January 29th, the Academy is publishing a new List full of pages about the Oscars — Funniest Moments, Red Carpet Fashion, Best Picture Nominees and more — on our sweepstakes microsite.
All you have to do is Stumble all the way through the List of the day, and every day a few lucky winners will Stumble upon prizes from our friends at Chronicle Books, Condé Nast, Etsy, Gogo, HotelTonight, POPSUGAR, Rdio, Seamless, SPIN, Spotify, Storenvy, TaskRabbit and Warby Parker. Even better, each winner can enter as a semifinalist to win the Grand Prize: two tickets to the Oscars Red Carpet! You’ll get front-row seats so you can get up close and personal with your favorite celebrities — scream, shout and take photos as the stars make their way from their limos into the historic Dolby Theatre. We’ll also be providing you with travel and hotel accommodations and transportation courtesy of MileWise, Mondrian Los Angeles and Uber.
To be eligible for the Grand Prize, you’ll just need to tell us why you love the Oscars. We’ll be picking the winner with the best answer, so convince us why you deserve to go more than anybody else! We’ll announce the Grand Prize winner on January 30th.
Check out all the details at www.stumbletheoscars.com, and make sure to view the official rules here. This sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the territorial United States who are eighteen years old or older as of the date of entry. The sweepstakes is not compatible with our Firefox extension, so users with that extension installed should use Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer to participate.
Good luck Stumbling, and happy Oscar-watching!
