I personally view Stumbleupon as one of the single greatest web developments I've seen since I've been online .. and that was around about the time someone came out with a staggering new thing called "a browser"

I find new relevant websites I never would have found with google. I meet new and interesting people that share similar strange interests to me that I would have never met otherwise. I've cured hours of boredom clicking the stumble button and coming to an interesting page on chaos theory. Give it a shot, you'll be hooked. Stumble is the perfect companion to google.

I am addicted to Stumble Upon! You can participate as much as you like... you can simply "stumble" and discover great sites on the internet or you can be more active and participate in the forums and/or message fellow stumblers from around the world with interests similiar to your own and make friends. I can sincerely say that, since I installed the Stumble Upon toolbar, I cannot imagine surfing without it!

This is by far the best toolbar on the internet today. The functionality and versatility that SU provides is stunning, on par and beyond my highest expectations. The online community of users is the catch to this program, as the communities are what keep me coming back day after day. The archive of stumble-able sites grows each and every day, and the content is absolutely amazing. Two huge thumbs up for this program and its developers. Can't wait for the toolbar to make it big!

I discovered StumbleUpon when trying to find a site I'd seen a couple of years earlier, and I must now say that while the original site was amusing and all, finding stumbleupon.com was the real treasure. Now I can access my favorite links wherever I have Internet access. The program and its users are more straightforward and sincere than the posing you'll find on other networking programs. And once you get set up, it's super easy to use, and the options are endless. It's an invaluable tool for any purpose: networking, research, time-wasting, info exchange, announcements, blogging...the list goes stumbling on...

I love my grandma, so I wouldn't dream of selling her in order to have continued access to StumbleUpon. But, I might work out some kind of long-term leasing program... It's that cool.

SU has it all! A very simple and easy to use toolbar, a wonderful team of creators who tirelessly work to improve upon something which is already wonderful, to an amazing diverse community of "Stumblers" which really make StumbleUpon what it is, adding intersting and valuable content to the database every second! Still have doubts? Just Stumble and try it for yourself! But...you just may not be able to stop! smile

No more visiting the same old sites over and over... Select which subjects interest you (there are tons, something for everyone!), add some "friends" who share the same interests and "stumble"... SHAZAM! There you go, fabulous new sites at your finger tips. Like it? 'thumbs up' to get more sites like it. Don't like it? 'thumbs down' and never have to face it again. Make comments when you wish to... post to your very own blog... join some groups and post at the forums... While the sense of community is very strong, it's very "hands off" at the same time. Be as active or non-active a member as best suits your comfort level. I've been stumbling since November 2003 and couldn't be happier with it.

StumbleUpon completely changed the way I look at the internet! It's like channel surfing, but on the web (and so much more). I initially joined so I could 'stumble upon' websites that have been categoriezed into a variety of my interests. I have stayed at StumbleUpon not only for the ability to 'stumble', but also because of the wonderful community I found - there's a place for everything and everyone. Don't worry - NO ADWARE! I will warn you now: "Once you go stumble, you never go back"...I highly recommend StumbleUpon! Give it a shot and don't forget to drop in and say hi

It's a whole new way to surf the web!! Do it your way - you find people with interests like yours and then let them help you surf! Visit their sites to find new and interesting sites you'd never find on your own. Then, the best feature...the actual Stumble button. Pick your category, hit the button and "stumble" your way to sites that other stumblers have already given the "thumbs up" to. It's the most fascinating way to find new sites of interest to you that you'd never find another way. My eyes have been opened to new and wonderful things that I'd never have found another way! It's the best network of people I've ever run across, too. There is a place for everyone here from beauty queens to computer geeks to gardeners to teachers and from everywhere in the world too! Don't hesitate, download the toolbar now!

Stumbleupon is much more than just a social network tool known from such sites as friendster or orkut. It provides addition with features like - Link Recommendation (which is the main purpose) - Topic Surfing (which makes it a great research tool) - Channel Surfing aka co-browsing (which means leaving your comments on sites, pages and people) - Web and Photoblogging - Recommend to friend via mail - Bookmark collecting - Community forums - Site promotion - And a lot of fun ! All of this adds up on meeting a lot of friendly people, that have the same interests as you have. Privacy issues might worry you: SU leaves you full freedom of entering details about you. The only thing that leaves a trace of your identity is in my view a collection of which sites you prefer and your probably everchanging IP number. You cannot be connected to your surf-preferences if you dont reveal your identity, as your email address is not visible for other users. So privacy is not really an issue as it may be in other networks you might find, and if you don't care building up a data-minable collection of likes and dislikes connected with other peoples likes or dislikes.

This is definitely my favorite toolbar. I know of no better way to find those one-in-a-million killer websites that seem so hard to find with a regular search engine, and 'stumbling' is lightyears ahead of the usual random web surfing. But, there's so much more beyond the stumble button... You can set up your own profile page (their privacy policy seems pretty good), and browse around other member's profiles (it automatically links you to like-minded people). Read through the comments others have left on various websites, or check out one of the topic groups if you're interested in something specific. It's a bit like blogs, chat forums, friendster, and a super-surf / website-rating tool all rolled into one, only much better and very easy to use, and there's a pretty cool community building around this thing. Heck, you can even talk to the guy who wrote the software! So give it a shot... and be patient at first - it takes a little 'training' to figure out what you're into, and then it starts getting really good. Hope you enjoy it. smile
