Garrett Camp, Founder & ChairmanGarrett has guided StumbleUpon’s development since 2001, from inception to more than 20 million registered users. StumbleUpon is now the largest personalized content discovery engine on the web, delivering more than 1 billion personalized recommendations per month. Garrett completed his Masters in Software Engineering at the University of Calgary, where he researched interfaces for collaborative systems, evolutionary algorithms and information retrieval. He is also a 2007 recipient of MIT Technology Review’s TR35 award. |

Geoff Smith, Founder & CTOGeoff has wide ranging business and technical skills. Geoff comes to StumbleUpon with a diversity of experience, including product management at a small internet firm, coordination at an environmental NPO, and software development at a company that produces management and accounting software for government and law offices. His education includes Computer Science at the University of British Columbia in Canada. |

Mark Bartels, CFOMark joined StumbleUpon in early 2008 and is the Chief Financial Officer. He has ten years of accounting and M&A experience in technology and consumer business and began his career at Deloitte in Cape Town, South Africa. Mark also worked in the UK and Luxembourg prior to happily settling in the Bay Area. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and PGDA from the University of Cape Town and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. |

Japjit Tulsi, Vice President of EngineeringJapjit oversees all of StumbleUpon’s engineering functions including product development, recommendation science and infrastructure. Japjit joins StumbleUpon from Google, where he spent the last six years as a director of engineering, responsible for building Google Analytics into one of the world’s largest Web analytics systems and most recently leading the development of YouTube’s long-form content efforts. Prior to Google, he was a group manager of engineering at Microsoft, where for more than five years he led a Web services incubation team, a data mining group and data warehousing. Japjit is a graduate of Punjab University and was pursuing a masters degree in Law when he decided a career in technology would be more rewarding. |

Marc Leibowitz, Vice President of Business Development and MarketingMarc leads StumbleUpon’s strategic partnerships and marketing. He joins us from Google, where he was responsible for many of Google’s major revenue and distribution relationships over the past seven years. Most recently he managed the worldwide team responsible for developing partnerships around Google’s mobile services and desktop client applications. Prior to Google, Marc co-founded a web-based financial services start-up, was responsible for corporate development for a publicly traded software firm and was an investment banker. Marc holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Teal Newland, Vice President of SalesTeal leads StumbleUpon’s advertising solutions group, developing and managing strategic partnerships with leading brands, agencies and publishers. She joins StumbleUpon from Digitas (Publicis Groupe), a full service advertising agency, where she was a Global Vice President. Teal worked across all agency clients, including American Express, Delta Airlines, Intel, and Samsung in developing creative, content and media strategy, audience engagement initiatives, and social activation platforms. Previously, Teal consulted for entertainment companies including Participant Media (Waiting for Superman, The Cove, Independent Truth) and The Walt Disney Company. She also spent over six years with Microsoft in global sales management, most recently as Head of Multinational Sales based in London. Teal graduated from the University of Washington (with a stint at the Universidad de Granada in Spain).
